The Swedish medical technology company Astra Tech AB, a subsidiary of AstraZeneca, is purchasing the US dental company Atlantis Components Inc. for USD 71 million in cash (approx. SEK 500 million). This business deal is part of Astra Tech’s growth strategy.

Atlantis Components, Inc. fabricates individually adapted abutments for dental implants using a patented CAD/CAM method. The company, which was founded in 1996, has had positive development and is now the leading producer in the United States with a market share of approximately 40 percent of the segment for individually adapted abutments.

This manual covers the prosthetic and laboratory procedures for screw-retained restorations using the Cresco™ method. 

The most important process steps, using the Cresco API™ Kit and the Cresco™ Precision Method, are presented in the manual but the main focus is on the Design Laboratory handling procedures.

This manual is designed to help you to explore all the benefits of Atlantis™ patient-specific abutments. It gives you all necessary information you need to achieve the best possible results when working with Atlantis™. 

Atlantis™ abutments can be designed and produced for all major implant systems in titanium, gold-shaded titanium and zirconia.
