Course Content:
This two day course emphasizes treatment planning algorithms for computer guided implant placement. Therapies ranging from single tooth to full mouth reconstruction will be covered including comprehensive management of the immediate-load full arch patient. Safe and effective application of these treatment modalities along with the key discussion points and procedural competencies will be discussed.
The participant will leave with an awareness of the diagnostic, preparatory, technological and clinical steps necessary to perform computer guided treatment. Additionally, new techniques that integrate the digital plan with the laboratory, surgical and prosthetic treatments will be highlighted. This course will include software training, hands-on drilling with SurgiGuide/Facilitate™ models and didactic teaching of treatment planning methods. Course faculty will focus on the new Materialise Immediate Smile technology and computer guided surgery for immediate load implant therapy.
On day two a live computer guided maxillary immediate load surgery with prosthesis delivery will be performed to conclude the program. Overall, various techniques will be illustrated throughout this course, including:
• Basic treatment pathways, including diagnostics and the following case types:
- Single tooth restorations
- Partial edentulous (multi-tooth fixed)
- Edentulous mandible (full arch fixed, removable)
- Edentulous maxilla (full arch fixed, removable)
- Implant overdenture & implant supported removable prostheses
• The latest software tools.
• Surgical guides.
• Provisional set-up and delivery for a full arch case-what are your options?
By integrating computer guided implant treatment, a new level of predictability, efficiency and accuracy will be achieved. Additionally, it optimizes safety for you and your patients, reduces time for the implant procedure and enhances patient satisfaction.
Optional software training
Participants also have the opportunity to attend an optional software training session being held the evening before the course starts. Some software usage will be covered during the rest of the course, however first time users and participants interested in extensive hands-on software training should attend this optional training. The optional software training is a separate $250 fee.
Who will benefit?
Clinicians who would like to gain more knowledge on computer guided surgery for diagnosis all the way to immediate load implant therapy. In addition to those wanting to learn both simple and complex treatment planning for all edentulous case types using guided technology, a basic understanding of the Materialise Simplant platform is recommended. If no experience exists, it is recommended to attend the Thursday evening software training course.
